Two Deputy OIC's have been transferred with immediate effect.
Police Media Spokesperson S.P. Buddhika Siriwardena stated that the Deputy OIC of the Jaffna district, Indu Karunarathne has been transferred to the Field Force Headquarters.
Accordingly , the Deputy OIC of Puttalam, Kithsiri Ganegama has been appointed as the deputy OIC of Jaffna. The present Deputy OIC of Kurunegala, Sarath Kumara has been appointed as the Deputy OIC in charge of Puttalam and Kurunegala.
Meanwhile the Senior deputy OIC, Pujitha Jayasundara who was temporarily transferred to the Police Headquarters, has been re-appointed as the Senior Deputy OIC of the Eastern Province.
