Nethadara 2013 is the 7th annual nature photographic competition & exhibition which is scheduled to held on the 20th and 21st of September 2013 at the J.D.A Gallery, Colombo 07. Nethadara is organized by the Nature Team of the University of Moratuwa which was formed in 2004.

Nethadara is aimed at creating enthusiasm for nature and photography in Sri Lanka. According to the nature team the lack of natural influences has been a cause for the very low number of naturalists in Sri Lanka. The event will share a wealth of knowledge about nature and photography and pave ways to protecting and preserving the natural magnificence of the country.

The theme for 2013 is “Nature, The silent perfection” and will focus on 4 main categories for the competition.
-         School
-         Photographic Societies
-         Undergraduates
-         Nature Lovers and Foreigners
-
The exhibition will showcase pictures from top professionals and amateurs and will be a wonderful experience for all age groups.

Pinthura.lk, a site focusing on photography, reviews, critics and other life experiences is set to be launched at Nethadara 2013, organized by the Nature Team of the University of Moratuwa. The exhibition will be held on the 20th and 21st of September 2013 at J.D.A Perera Gallery, Colombo 07.

In an era where people Google for almost anything, Pinthura.lk is focusing on providing unbiased reviews about almost anything that you could think of, this includes food, restaurants, travel and many other life experiences. The aim is to have a reliable source of advice for those internet savvy folks who hunt the internet for reviews and information before they buy, get involved or make a commitment to anything.

More information going online in these forms mean that more exposure to the values Sri Lanka will offer including the dos and don’ts. Tourists around the world pick destinations with the help of the website reviews and an article like how exciting a trip at Sinharaja or Yala will attract them. The site further focusses on writing promotional content and being a means of a marketing source for the small business owners in the Island.  A blog post about the porridge lorry on the Marine Drive will do him a world of good.
