Person has died in Payagala at dawn on Sunday after being hit by a train

A person has died in Payagala at dawn on Sunday after being hit by a train.

The police said that the operator of the gate of the level crossing in the area had died in the accident.
The operator had died after being hit by an oncoming freight train plying from Galle to Colombo. The body has been placed at the Nagoda Hospital.
