Expired food items in Kotahena warehouse

The Consumer Affairs Authority raided a warehouse located down Jampettah Street in Kotahena which housed expired food items.

The Consumer Affairs Authority conducted the raid based on a tip-off.
The authority says individuals were making preparations to change the date of manufacture and expiry dates of oils, margarine and other food items.

The owner of the warehouse has been arrested in connection to the incident.
