People take the benefits but forget who gave them...

Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Senior Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama says that individuals who receive benefits will forget those who gave it to them.

He made this statement during an event held in Katugasthota in Kandy on Sunday.
This event was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the Sarath Amunugama Foundation.

Minister Sarath Amunugama further stated,

“The titles we received were from all of you. If we receive one title, we owe it to thousand people. That is our policy. Those who receive benefits should work for thousand others because they are indebted to these people. That is the problem in our country. People take the benefits but forget who gave them the benefits."
