Provincial Council Elections to conclude...

The Elections Secretariat states that campaigning for the upcoming Northern, Central and North Western Provincial Council will conclude at midnight on Wednesday.
Deputy Elections commissioner M.M. Mohammed announced that the pasting of posters and notices and the organising of election rallies will be banned from Wednesday.

He further stated:

“All political parties and independent groups should conclude election campaigning activities from the midnight of the 18th  . Door to door visits,

displaying of banners, posters, pictures, numbers and symbols and engaging in media campaigning will be a violation of election regulations under the election act."
