Transnational crimes; focus of the future - Gotabaya Rajapaksha

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa delivering the key note address at the Defence Seminar 2013 said that threat imposed by transnational crimes needs a higher level of concern at present, in order to ensure the future security of the country.

"How Sri Lanka faces the internal and international challenges in the next few years will influence or determine the countrys destiny in the future," Rajapaksa said.

The third annual Defence Seminar organised by the Sri Lanka Army commenced today with the participation 29 countries. The Chief Guest of the event was Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunge.
